How Much Time Does it Take to Make an Animated Video?

Several factors affect the time needed by our production team to create the video. Some include:

  • Animation Style
  • Video Duration
  • Complexity, for example, the scene and the actions the characters take
  • Research Required, etc.
  • Your deadline

We usually need about 4 to 6 weeks to complete an explainer video of about 1.5 minutes.

Can You Speed Up the Process?

Yes, we could shorten the period by a few days or weeks. There are two ways of doing so:

  • By using simpler animations
  • By working overtime or arranging more priority for your job

For the latter, our team should be available at the time you want the work. But kindly note that you may need to pay extra fees.

What are the Steps Involved in Creating a Video?

In short, here’s the different stages of production in our process:

  • Market Research
  • Scriptwriting
  • Storyboard
  • 3D Modeling and Visualization (for 3D)
  • Creating illustrations (for 2d)
  • Voiceover
  • Animatics
  • Animation
  • Creation of Background Music and Sounds Effects

Do keep in mind that the above is a rough guideline. The exact process may depend on the project requirements. You can check our detailed description of the creative process here.

How Many Revisions Can I Make?

You can make unlimited revisions.

Our team will send you updates and related files at every stage of video production. Then you offer the feedback or approval, and we’ll make the changes you want. We’ll move on to the next step of the process only after you’re happy.

For example, we’ll first send you the script. Then, you can make edits to it. And only when you accept this, we’ll start creating the storyboard.

By the way, we use convenient cloud-based systems for accumulating your feedback.

Can I Revise Previously Approved Stages?

Yes, you can, but this entails extra work and pay. For example, say you approve the storyboard, and we start the illustration. But if you decide to make changes to the storyboard again, we’ll need to redo the illustration. In such cases, the rates are charged based on the hours we need to put in, i.e., $50 for every hour of extra work.

How Much Does it Cost to Make an Animation Video?

We’re flexible and don’t have a fixed price. Rather, we tailor our services based on your budget and resources. The final fees depend on factors including:

  • The length
  • Complexity of the scene and story
  • Number of objects and characters
  • Delivery Timeline
  • The animation style, etc.

Usually, most of our explainer video services start from $2,000 per 1 minute and can go to more than $50,000.

Finally, you can hit us up no matter what your approximate budget. We’re here to devise a creative solution for you.

Will it Be Cheaper or More Expensive for Me to Make a Longer Video?

You get more content at less price when the video is longer.

For example, say we send you a quote for a minute. If you later decide to make the video only 30 seconds, we will only be able to cut the quote by 25%. This is because we still need to do other tasks including market research, voice-over, etc. apart from the actual video.

We can only cut the prices by 50% if you make a video of 15 seconds.

What is Included in the Price?

Our services include everything needed to plan, produce, and complete the explainer video. Here’s what’s included in the fees:

We take 50% upfront while signing the contract. The final payment is the remaining 50% which needs to be paid after the project is complete.

Do You Offer Discounts for Bulk Orders?

Of course, we do. We have special discounts for clients who need video series. We could prepare a custom quote depending on the number of videos, their length, and the package you need.

What Payment Modes Do You Accept?

Currently, we accept credit/debit cards, ACH & Wire Transfers, Checks, SWIFT payments and cryptocurrency.

I Need a Video and its short Version. Will It Cost Extra?

If the short video is based on the script of the main video, it will cost an additional 30%. This is done since we need to optimize the script, re-record the voiceover and make the animation.

Do remember that any video that’s more than 30 seconds will be considered a new project.
